Our mission is to teach, model and demonstrate skills/attributes such as integrity, respect, the ability to deal with adversity, commitment, responsibility, discipline, dedication, determination, preparation and decision making through the game of baseball - with the goal of developing strong character in each individual. To teach baseball skills intensively and positively so that each player progresses towards defined goals.

In addition, we want young players to experience the level of dedication necessary to rise to the top of a sport-we want them to develop as athletes and as people. Achieving this requires that players and parents understand and share our purpose:

• To support the athletic dreams of young boys as they grow into men
• To provide fundamental baseball know-how, build advanced skills and improve playing ability at an accelerated rate
• To gain valuable life experiences as a result of team camaraderie, travel, and play
• To prepare players for the highest standards of baseball coaching, competition, and team play
• To develop wholesome, meaningful, and lasting friendships

The game of baseball can be used as an instrument to teach important life lessons and develop character. The role we have accepted as coaches and educators is to teach the game of baseball at the highest level. An even more important role is to teach life skills through the game of baseball. Teaching and modeling skills such as integrity, respect, the ability to deal with adversity, commitment, responsibility, discipline, dedication, determination, preparation and decision making are done on a daily basis through baseball - with the goal of developing strong character in each individual. Developing strong character through the development of these skills will benefit each young man throughout his life. Individuals that have these skills and strong character are able achieve success in nearly every aspect of their life. It is my responsibility as a coach to provide the atmosphere each day to teach these skills and foster strong character development.

Winning baseball games is an important measure of a program's success, but it should not be the goal. Victories are the end result of reaching the goal of strong character development through the program. In other words, winning is important, but winning the right way is more important

Crucial to the success of Fundamental Baseball/Softball is the selection, certification, and on-going training of its coaches. The combined knowledge and experience of our staff is unsurpassed. All of our coaches come from a professional/collegiate baseball background, and all have extensive experience in player development. FBS coaches interact with various college and professional coaches, and are committed to providing FBS players with cutting edge training, advanced instruction, proven techniques, mental preparation, and physical conditioning.
